An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving Manshood (IRE), placed second, ridden by Paul Mulrennan, Another Angel (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Kieran Schofield and Afandem (IRE), unplaced, ridden by David Allan.
The Stewards found that the interference involving Another Angel (IRE) and Afandem (IRE) to be accidental as Another Angel (IRE) edged slightly left-handed giving a small bump to Afandem (IRE), before being immediately corrected by its rider.
Mulrennan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he angled Manshood (IRE) right- handed for a run when not sufficiently clear, causing Allan to take a check.
The winner Mutabaahy (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Pontefract on 7 July 2020 where the gelding finished sixth of nine runners, beaten by 7 ½ lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Antony Brittain could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Mutabaahy (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that YOU’RE COOL, unplaced, bled from the nose.
