Permission was given for Shifter (GB) to be mounted in the chute and for She's Got Bottle (GB) to wear a red hood to post; the mare wore earplugs throughout.
Ben Robinson, the rider of Helter Skelter (IRE), was unseated approximately 3 ½ furlongs out.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and was caused by Helter Skelter (IRE) suffering an injury.
Galahad Threepwood (GB) was hampered by the fall of Helter Skelter (IRE).
The winner, Can't Stop Now (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Hamilton on 18 July 2024 where the gelding finished sixth of seven runners, beaten by 9 ½ lengths.
Iain Jardine’s explanation that CAN’T STOP NOW (IRE) had appreciated the step back in trip from 1mile 3 furlongs 15 yards to 1 mile 2 furlongs on this occasion was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Jason Hart reported that Galahad Threepwood (GB), unplaced, was badly hampered by the faller approximately 3 ½ furlongs out.
