Permission was given for Saffredi (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood; for Sea The Buckthorn (GB) to go early to post.
Shortly after the start, Saffredi (GB), placed fifth, lugged right-handed moving Bear To Dream (IRE), unplaced, onto Till It Shines (IRE), placed third, which received a bump and was shifted into the path of Sea The Buckthorn (GB), causing its rider to take a check and in turn slightly impede the winner Split Elevens (GB), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the home bend involving Bossy Parker (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Andrew Elliott and A Pint Of Bear (IRE), placed second, ridden by Luke Morris.
Morris was cautioned for careless riding as he edged his mount right-handed off the rail when insufficiently clear of Bossy Parker (IRE), causing Elliot to briefly take a check.
Passing the 1 furlong marker, Saffredi (GB), placed fifth, hung right-handed before being corrected by its rider moving A Pint Of Bear (IRE), placed second, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Shamardia (GB) which finished unplaced, beaten by 15½ lengths, was considered.
Ismail Mohammed’s explanation that the filly was unsuited by being trapped 3 wide without cover from stall 12, on this occasion was noted.
The Veterinary Officer examined Shamardia (GB) post-race and had nothing to report.
Following the race, Jack Doughty reported that Stella Hogan (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away; Andrew Elliott reported that Bossy Parker (IRE), placed fourth, hung left-handed.
