He's a 17hh horse. I ran him in a bumper in Gowran and I thought he couldn't get beaten - I ran him the wrong way, I made the running and they all took him on. He came out of Donnachadh Doyle's, a great yard to buy a horse out of. I rang Donnachadh before the race and I said to him 'I'm gonna drop this fellow last' and he said that was the thing to do with him. That's the first day with the hood, he's just a very free-going horse but I love him the whole time at home. He's doing everything right. It was a very competitive race. He'd stay three miles every day of the week. He's in again on Thursday but we'll see how we come out of the race, he might run again on Thursday in Tipperary. He's a good ground horse and he's a gorgeous horse. He's a staying chaser and the good thing about him is that you can drop him out. He's a proper horse. The owner Dan O'Rourke is from Naas. A steeplechase for Certified Hunters four yrs old and upwards that have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Steeplechase confined to Certified Hunters or in a Point-to- Point Steeplechase in Ireland between 26th September, 2015 and 30th April, 2019 and that have not won more than two steeplechases confined to Certified Hunters
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 3lb; 5-y-o 11st 1lb; 6-y-o and up 11st 4lb; Mares allowed 7lb
Penalties - (to count from 1st January, 2017) Winner of a steeplechase to carry 5lb extra for each such steeplechase won.
