A little bit of dig in the ground might help her as well. Colm said for the first two or three furlongs they were only hacking which probably didn’t suit her. Mrs John Harrington, trainer
Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii), the Stewards allowed Life Mission (USA), trained by J.P. Murtagh, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91
GENERAL INFORMATION The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting: Mr. N.B. Wachman (Chairman), Mr. Laurence McFerran, Mr. C.P. Magnier, Mr. Jack Rearden, Mr. P.D. Matthews
The Stewards asked Mr. Derek McGrath, CEO Curragh Racecourse Ltd and Mr. Brendan Sheridan, Clerk of the Course to confirm their stance on the running of today's and future fixtures for this season. The Stewards informed Mr McGrath that under Rule 10, that the Stewards have full power to make (and if necessary to vary) all such arrangements for the conduct of the meeting as they think fit or to abandon the meeting. The Stewards expressed their dissatisfaction with the changes implemented for the unsaddling of non placed horses post race and instructed that only the winner and placed horses to include those awaiting the official result of a photo finish shall dismount in the parade ring. All other runners shall proceed directly to the pre parade ring area to be dismounted. In their opinion the use of the parade ring for the unsaddling of all runners was chaotic and posed potential dangers. Mr McGrath accepted the instruction but stated that it was at variance with what he believed had been previously agreed
The Stewards further referred to 30 runners being a potential danger through lack of sufficient space in the current parade ring and therefore ordered that a number of runners should be allowed to use the main parade ring while some runners should remain in the pre parade ring area to avoid any potential dangers that could arise through overcrowding and lack of space for horses to walk safely. The Stewards instructed that the riders would mount their horses in the parade ring used by their respective mounts. The Stewards in consultation with Mr McGrath made it clear that all arrangements or any future changes or alterations to raceday practices must be done through the Clerk of the Course before being discussed and decided upon by the Acting Stewards of the day
