The Stewards enquired into the late withdrawals of Ilikedwayurthinkin trained by Gavin Cromwell and Bois De Clamart (FR) trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle where both trainers cited "Going" as the reason. The trainers felt that the going was faster in places than the official going description possibly as a result of the drying wind and was unsuited to their charges. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards accepted the reasons offered and did not impose any penalty on this occasion
Rachael Blackmore, rider of Ellie Mac trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount never travelled during this race before being pulled up
The Stewards reviewed an incident about five furlongs from the finish involving Aarons Day, ridden by B
Browne, unplaced, Swordsman, ridden by J.C. Gainford, unplaced and Max Flamingo, ridden by D.F. O'Regan, placed first, where it appeared that Max Flamingo stumbled for a stride and both Aarons Day and Swordsman veered left when tracking Max Flamingo. Having viewed the recording and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 0-140 Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 11st 10lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
