The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Scarpeta (FR), trained by Andrew McNamara, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a wound to its left fore cannon but to be otherwise post race normal
J.G. Gilligan, rider of Henry's Girlie trained by Fintan Feeney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not jump well
The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. H. T. Hynes, that J.G. Gilligan, rider of Henry's Girlie, had weighed in at 1.5lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J. G. Gilligan was in breach of Rule 231, weighing in heavy. Having considered his record in this regard the Stewards cautioned J. G. Gilligan on this occasion.
