she's a nice filly and ran well here on debut last year when third to Vote Often. It was quite soft then and she doesn't like very deep ground. She was slow to come to hand and we had to wait on her this year but she's well-bred and is out of a mare that's doing well. We'd like to see another black-type filly for the dam and she'll run in a Listed race next. She had an inside draw but didn't jump well, and landed on all-fours, so Declan had to give her the gee up and found himself quickly in the lead. She's a versatile sort so it made no difference. There are mixed messages in her pedigree and I'm not sure how far she will stay but she showed enough pace for that trip. John M Oxx, trainer

The Stewards enquired into an incident approximately two and a half furlongs from the finish involving Antique Platinum, ridden by P.J. Smullen, and Some Spirit, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, where it appeared interference had taken place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards cautioned N.G. McCullagh to ride with more care in future.
