Approaching the one furlong marker, Mabo (GB), placed second, shifted quickly left, before being corrected by the rider, causing interference to Jaganory (IRE), placed seventh, which in turn interfered with Cooperess (GB), placed third, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Mabo (GB).
A half furlong from the line, Mabo (GB), placed second, shifted quickly right, before being corrected by the rider, carrying the winner, Incentive (GB) off its intended line, which in turn caused Gold Flash (GB), placed fifth and Tynamite (IRE), placed sixth, to be briefly hampered, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Mabo (GB).
