Permission was given for Skyva (GB), Groundworker (IRE), Climax (GB) and Camanche Grey (IRE) to go to post early.
The Starter reported that Star Cracker (IRE) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
Jim Goldie was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Star Cracker (IRE), drawn 9, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started thereby enabling the gelding to break quickly.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
The winner Star Cracker (IRE) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 29 March 2019 where the gelding finished ninth of fourteen beaten 7 lengths.
Jim Goldie explained that the gelding appreciated the re-application of cheekpieces on this occasion.
STARK CRACKER (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Ben Robinson reported that Skyva (GB), placed eighth, missed the break.
