Permission was given for Love Wars (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for Water Of Leith (IRE) to go early to post.
Approximately 3 furlongs out, Herakles (IRE), placed second, edged marginally right-handed, taking Castan (GB), placed third, off its intended line, causing the rider of Love Wars (IRE), unplaced, to take a check, which in turn, slightly hampered Water Of Leith (IRE), placed fifth.
But after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Herakles (IRE).
Following the race, Paul Mulrennan reported that Water Of Leith (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run on several occasions inside the final 2 furlongs.
