John Bridger had obtained prior permission from the BHA to run Lethal Blast (GB) partially shod.
Permission was given for Lordsbridge Boy (GB) to wear a red hood to post and for Lethal Blast (GB) to go early to post and be mounted on the chute.
The Starter reported that Lethal Blast (GB) broke out of the stalls and was withdrawn at 17:57.
John Bridger was informed that the filly could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
The winner, La Roca Del Fuego (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Chelmsford on 31 March 2022 where the gelding finished tenth of eleven, beaten by 8 ¼ lengths.
It was noted that Geoffrey Deacon could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
La Roca Del Fuego (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Atty's Edge (GB), placed sixth, had lost its right fore shoe.
