The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final 150 yards involving Still Standing, ridden by C
O'Donoghue, placed first, Arthurian Fame, ridden by S.M. Crosse, dead heat for second place and New Direction, ridden by R.P. Cleary, dead heat for second place, where it appeared that Still Standing ducked to the left when being driven to the line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. F. Birrane accompanied S.M. Crosse at this enquiry. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action
T.P. Madden, rider of Sheila's Hope trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left during this race
