Permission was given for Blue Hero (CAN) to be mounted in the chute and to go early to post and for Honrado (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1½ furlongs from the line, involving Humaniste (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Taylor Fisher; Uther Pendragon (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Shariq Mohd; and Honrado (GB), unplaced, ridden by Kevin Stott.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Mohd was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
The interference was found to be accidental as Humaniste (IRE) shifted slightly right-handed, at the same time as Uther Pendragon (IRE) shifted slightly left-handed, which caused Honrado (GB) to become tightened for room between the two runners, and resulted in both Uther Pendragon (IRE) and Honrado (GB) becoming unbalanced.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1½ furlongs from the line, involving Cochin (GB), unplaced, ridden by Luke Morris and Alghazaal (GB), placed third, ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck.
Clutterbuck was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift right-handed when insufficiently clear of Cochin (GB), causing Morris to take a slight check.
Following the race, Georgia Dobie reported that Grey Owl (GB), placed fourth, was slowly away; and Kevin Stott reported that Honrado (GB), unplaced, slipped rounding the bend and suffered interference approximately 1½ furlongs from the line.
Race 6 - 8:30pm.
THE AK BETS CHAT TO A TRADER HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) Permission was given for PRECISION STORM and PURE GOLD to both wear a red hood to post.
The winner PRECISION STORM, appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Chester on 15 June 2024 where the gelding finished fourth of seven runners, beaten by 15½ lengths.
Mark Loughnane’s explanation that PRECISION STORM was suited by a combination of the drop back in trip from 1m4f to 1m2f, coupled with the quicker Going on this occasion, which was officially described as Firm, Good to Firm in places, was noted.
PRECISION STORM was routine tested.
Following the race, Liam Wright reported that BAROQUE BUOY (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed off the bend and ran flat.
