Approximately 1 furlong after the start, the rider of Ravenglass (IRE), placed third, had to steady his mount off the heels of Ventura Rascal (GB), placed fourth, and in doing so shifted slightly left-handed, causing the rider of Tipperary Moon (IRE), placed fifth, to take a brief check, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Ravenglass (IRE).
Following the race, Ben Haslam reported that Do I Dream (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by being drawn wide in a large field.
