The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Four Blondes, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Nightcliff, ridden by D
McMonagle, placed sixth, Four Blondes, ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, and Byzantine Empress (GB), ridden by M.P. Sheehy, placed second, where it appeared Nightcliff had to take a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle stated that he had to take a precautionary check off heels when Byzantine Empress switched out. M.P. Sheehy stated that a gap opened and he quickened into it. He further added that he thought he was clear of Nightcliff when he switched out. S. Foley stated that his mount was emptying and horses just quickened up around him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found M.P. Sheehy was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays
D. McMonagle, rider of Nightcliff, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a precautinary check
S. Foley, rider of Four Blondes, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran free early
Hollie Doyle, rider of Elinor Dashwood, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount never travelled.
