The raceday privilege request for Coast (GB), trained by Scott Dixon, to be loaded last was late being submitted.
As this was his fourth breach within the previous 12 months, Dixon was fined £80.
Leaving the stalls, YOU’RE COOL, placed second, jumped awkwardly and shifted right-handed inconveniencing Red Stripes (USA), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of YOU’RE COOL.
Approaching 4 furlongs out, a free running Hit Mac (IRE), placed fourth, shifted left-handed and made brief contact with the winner, Glorious Charmer (GB) which then lugged left-handed across the running of Rockley Point (GB), unplaced, which was hampered on the rail but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Hit Mac (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching and passing the 3 furlong marker, involving Prince of Rome (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Taylor Fisher, Big Impact (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Ryan Sexton and Rockley Point (GB), unplaced, ridden by Aiden Brookes.
Fisher was suspended for 5 days for careless riding after allowing his mount to edge left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of Big Impact (GB) crowding up that runner over a sustained period, before ultimately forcing Sexton to take a significant check in order to avoid clipping his heels, whilst also causing Rockley Point (GB), to become unbalanced when short of room.
Following the race, Taylor Fisher reported that Prince of Rome (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed, Alex Jary reported that YOU’RE COOL, placed second, was outpaced early and Billy Loughnane reported that Hit Mac (IRE), placed fourth, ran too freely and hung right-handed.
