The interference was found to be accidental as Piazon (GB) lugged quickly right away from the whip before being corrected by its rider, at the same time as Cox Bazar (FR) edged slightly left, which caused a weakening Classic Pursuit (GB) to be tightened for room between them and carried across the heels of Cox Bazar (FR).
Following the race, James Sullivan reported that Loulin (GB), placed seventh, was slowly away.
