The Stewards interviewed Miss S. O'Brien, rider of Cornelius Sulla, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Miss S. O'Brien in breach of Reg. 10 3.(f) by using her whip with excessive frequency and cautioned her regarding her future whip use. The Stewards interviewed Mr R.M. Cody, rider of His Dream, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10. 4 by failing to give his mount time to respond and suspended him for one race day and referred him to RACE for one day's tuition in the correct use of the whip.
