Permission was given for Aim For The Moon (USA) and Sugarloaf Lenny (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when the winner, Sugarloaf Lenny (IRE), ridden by Brandon Wilkie, interfered with Miss Monte Carlo (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Ross Coakley.
Wilkie was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had manoeuvred right-handed when there was insufficient room to do so, causing Miss Monte Carlo (GB) to be carried off its intended line and Coakley to have to take a check.
The performance of Aim For The Moon (USA), which started second favourite and finished unplaced, beaten by 13¼ lengths was considered.
Michael Wigham could offer no explanation for the mare’s performance.
Aim For The Moon (USA) was routine tested.
