An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start when Amaretto (GB), placed third, ridden by Charlie Bennett, interfered with Dawn Treader (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by George Rooke.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Rooke was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Bennett was cautioned for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear causing Rooke to have to take a slight check.
Following the race, Elisha Whittington reported that Uae Soldier (USA), placed sixth, was never travelling, and Charlie Bennett reported that Amaretto (GB), placed third, hung left-handed throughout.
