His early form over hurdles and fences was poor enough and I don't think it was an extra special race but it was great to come out of the right side of it and win. We thought he was in good order and were hoping he'd run well but it was an ordinary contest and he was at the right end of it today with the low weight and soft ground in his favour. It's great to have a winner as I haven't had one in a long time and thanks to J.P. for supporting me, he has one other horse with me. It is hard to find good ones but we'll keep trying. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Persian Wind, trained by J.P. Dempsey, was found to have blood on both nostrils possibly as a result of falling
The Stewards interviewed C. D. Timmons, rider of He Rock's, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that C. D. Timmons was in breach of Regulation 10.3. (g) (frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 3 racedays
J.J. Slevin, rider of Ballybrowney Jack (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered and refused
