The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.P. Cleary, rider of Expecto, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation and apologised on this occasion . Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R.P. Cleary was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard they suspended him for 8 racedays
Amy Jo Hayes, rider of Kilworth Kate, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount got tight for room after two furlongs. Having viewed a recording of the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
R.P. Cleary, rider of Expecto, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he lost his iron in the home straight.
