The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the line involving Pahlavi, ridden by J.S
McGarvey, placed third, Thunder, ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed fifth, and Mousey Brown, ridden by P.J
O'Hanlon placed fourth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.J.O' Hanlon stated that he was staying on when he received pressure from both sides. J. S. McGarvey stated that he felt he kept a straight line on the run in. D. E. Mullins stated that after receiving a bump at the last hurdle he was returning to his racing line when he felt pressure from his right close to the line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alterations to the judges placings and took no further action.
