Approximately 1 furlong out, Sir Garfield (IRE), placed second, hung quickly right causing Angel Of The Bay (GB), unplaced, to be moved off its intended line and be checked momentarily.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sir Garfield (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference in the final half furlong, involving Jkr Cobbler (IRE), placed third, ridden by Andrew Mullen, Ahamoment (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Clifford Lee, and Agnes Grey (IRE), unplaced, ridden by James Sullivan.
Mullen cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift slightly right-handed, taking Ahamoment (IRE) slightly off its intended line, which in turn caused Agnes Grey (IRE) to become momentarily short of room.
