Permission was given for both Cooperation (IRE) and Lazyitis (GB) to go early to post and for Society Lion (GB) (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Lazyitis (GB) arrived at the start with a small amount of blood in its mouth.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, the filly was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start, involving Tyson (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Pat Dobbs interfered with Ramiro (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Dale Swift.
Dobbs was cautioned for careless riding as he had come across from a wide draw towards the rail, when insufficiently clear of Swift, who had to take a precautionary check.
Approximately 4 furlongs out, the Winner, Society Lion (GB), edged slightly left-handed causing a free running Meydan Rose (IRE), placed third, to take a precautionary check but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Society Lion (GB).
Following the race, Dale Swift reported that Ramiro (IRE), unplaced, reared as the stalls opened and as a result was slowly away, Shane Gray reported that Lady Raeburn (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away and Pat Dobbs reported that Tyson (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run approaching ½ a furlong out.
