Rounding the final bend, Guernesey (FR), placed seventh, was carried slightly left-handed by Confirmation Bias (IRE), unplaced, which was stopping quickly, causing San Pedro De Senam (FR), placed fourth, to be moved left-handed onto the running rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held following footage seen by the Stewards of a verbal altercation between Lorcan Williams, the rider of Confirmation Bias (IRE), unplaced, and Page Fuller, the rider of the winner, Our Dot's Baby (IRE), shortly after pulling up at the conclusion of the race.
Having heard their evidence, Williams and Fuller were both suspended for 4 days for improper conduct between jockeys.
Due to the participants involved in the incident, the Stewards’ Panel Chair was stood down and the panel for this enquiry comprised of the Chief Steward, Steward and Raceday Assistant.
