Awesome Rock (IRE) unseated Robert Havlin coming out onto the course and cantered to post.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Officer and after Havlin had been examined by the doctor, both were deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the first bend when Ness Of Brodgar (GB), placed third, ridden by Daniel Muscutt, interfered with Beau Knight (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Sebastian Woods, which in turn interfered with Bigshotte (GB), unplaced, ridden by Kieran O’Neill.
Muscutt was suspended for 3 days for careless riding for allowing his mount to edge left-handed when insufficiently clear of Beau Knight (GB) taking the gelding off its intended line and causing it to make contact with Bigshotte (GB) which had to be checked by the rider against the rail.
Following the race, Theodore Ladd reported that Oyster Card (GB), unplaced, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Luke Dace reported that Bigshotte (GB), unplaced, did not stay the 1m 6f trip.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Ness Of Brodgar (GB), placed third, was lame on its right-fore leg.
