The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.A. Powell, rider of Golden Temple, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and stated that his mount was responding. He further added he was doing his best to keep straight as his mount was drifting right the whole way up the straight. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.A. Powell was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Polemon (GB), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal

K.G. Kennedy, rider of Mo Ghille Mar, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
