Richard Kingscote reported that the gelding hung right-handed and Sir Michael Stoute’s representative could offer no explanation, other than Crossing The Bar (IRE)'s best recent form has been on turf and the gelding may have been unsuited by the Tapeta surface on this occasion.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Crossing The Bar (IRE) during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
