Inside the final furlong, Swansdown (GB), placed third, shifted left-handed, carrying Potters Lady Jane (GB), placed fourth, slightly off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Swansdown (GB).
Following the race, Eoin Walsh reported that Break The Rules (GB), placed fifth, was denied a clear run for a couple of strides approximately 2 ½ furlongs out and Cieren Fallon reported that Swansdown (GB), which started favourite and finished third, ran too freely when travelling to post and throughout the race.
