Permission was given for Rock of Estonia (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post.
An enquiry was held following a report from the Veterinary Officer that a pile of loose droppings were discovered in Rock of Estonia (IRE)’s stable, trained by Michael Squance, in Box 55 in the Racecourse Stables.
The trainer, the Veterinary Officer, the Executive Director, the Stable Manager and the Clerk of the Course were interviewed.
Being satisfied that Rock of Estonia (IRE), had received only normal food and water by mouth on the day of racing, the Stewards allowed the gelding to run and ordered it to be routine tested.
A report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Following the race, Corey Madden reported that Global Humor (USA), which started joint-favourite and finished sixth, was slowly away.
