The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving Wonder Spirit (GB), ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, unplaced, and Dr Patrick, ridden by P.A. Harnett, unplaced, where it appeared Wonder Spirit had to check after Dr. Patrick manoeuvered towards the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.J.G. Ryan stated his mount was running keen and was trying to take back when Dr Patrick was making his way towards to rail. P.A. Harnett said he didn't hear a shout and felt Wonder Spirit running keen made the incident look worse than it actually was. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
R. Whearty, rider of Neverfindanother U, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gerard O'Leary, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Deluca Chop (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Adrian Joyce, Authorized representative stated that Deluca Chop was given a break to freshen him up and the step up in trip in his opinion may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
