1½ furlongs out, Big Mojo (IRE), placed fourth, shifted slightly right-handed taking Andesite (GB), unplaced, off its intended line at the same time as the winner, Cool Hoof Luke (GB), having switched into a tight but legitimate gap, edged slightly left-handed causing Billboard Star (GB), unplaced, to become short for room and its rider to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of either Big Mojo (IRE) or Cool Hoof Luke (GB).
Following the race, Silvestre De Sousa reported that Big Mojo (IRE), placed fourth, ran green; Charles Bishop reported that Billboard Star (GB), unplaced, suffered interference 1½ furlongs out; James Doyle reported that The Strikin Viking (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
