Approaching the final furlong, Algheed (IRE), placed fifth, edged slightly right-handed, making slight contact with Mottisfont (IRE), unplaced, and moving that filly onto heels of the winner, Cloud Cover (IRE), resulting in the rider of Mottisfont (IRE), having to take precautionary check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Algheed (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong, involving the winner, Cloud Cover (IRE), ridden by Neil Callan; Rajindri (IRE), placed second, ridden by Harry Davies; and Primeval (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Rossa Ryan.
Callan was cautioned for careless riding as he failed to take sufficient steps to keep his mount from drifting left-handed, when insufficiently clear of both Primeval (GB) and Rajindri (IRE), and resulting in both Ryan and Davies being slightly taken off their intended lines.
