The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the run to the first bend involving Mads Black Eights, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, Say You're Sorry, ridden by W.J. Lee, Doctor Grace, ridden by R.P. Whelan, and Numidia, ridden by K.J. Leonard where it appeared horses got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned
K.J. Leonard stated that he wanted to go forward but the pace was strong, he met interference and took back. D.P
McDonogh stated that he was about to slot in when Say You're Sorry shot down the inside and fired him out. W.J
Lee stated that he dropped in but his horse saw space in front of him and locked on at which point he had not much control. R.P. Whelan stated that he went to slot in to the rail when he heard a shout from W.J. Lee. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental and they took no further action
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Mads Black Eights, trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got badly hampered at the first bend
W.J. Lee, rider of Say You're Sorry, trained by Eamonn O'Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very keen
C.D. Hayes, rider of Dark Street, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right in the straight
