Permission was given for Poperinghe Ginger (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held into the running and riding of Goodnitesweetheart (GB), ridden by Noel Fehily, which was pulled up.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the race.
The Veterinary Officer reported that an immediate post-race examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The rider stated that the mare travelled nicely up until the second to last hurdle in the in back straight, which the mare did not jump well.
He added that on leaving the back straight he observed that Goodnitesweetheart (GB) was not moving as well, a fact which he did report to scales.
He further explained that he was aware that the mare has a history of leg issues so felt it prudent to pull up.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, Kielan Woods reported that the saddle of Poperinghe Ginger (IRE), placed fifth, slipped entering the home straight.
