An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong involving, the winner, Midnight Gun (GB), ridden by Kevin Stott and Mythical Guest (IRE), placed second, ridden by Robert Havlin.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Midnight Gun (GB) as despite slightly bumping and marginally moving Mythical Guest (IRE) off its intended line, there was little momentum lost and Midnight Gun (GB) was going away from Mythical Guest (IRE) to win by half a length at the line.
Stott was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his horse to drift left-handed without timely correction, giving a slight bump to Mythical Guest (IRE).
