He had been pleasing us working and we were happy to start him off but it didn't happen on the day. . We gelded him as he was quite a heavy topped horse, took our time with him and he had been working nicely and was ready to start back. . I think he benefitted from a fast run race there, they seemed to run out of steam a bit late on and he was just coming home well. . He looks like a horse that could maybe even go up a furlong and I'd say there is plenty more improvement in him. He has a good attitude and it's good to get a bracket for him. . The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident close to the line involving Agouti Bear, ridden by D.P
McDonogh, placed fourth, Karazhal, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed first, and Flash The Cash, ridden by S. Foley, placed second, where it appeared Agouti Bear and Flash The Cash ran around momentarily. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P Whelan stated that he received no pressure. S. Foley stated that his mount ran a little bit left and right but he corrected her immediately. D.P. McDonogh stated that he corrected his mount immediately when she switched leads. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
A.J. Slattery, rider of Tortola, trained by Josh Halley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the gates.
