The interference was found to be accidental as Mr Hampstead (USA) shifted marginally right-handed at the same time that Vanish (IRE) moved slightly left-handed resulting in Sam Hawkens (IRE) being sightly short of room between the pair.
The performance of Arabian Tribe (GB), which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Charlie Appleby could offer no explanation for the colt’s performance.
