The Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Koybig, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount hung dramatically to the stand side in the closing stages and he felt he had little option but to correct him with the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards noted the rider's explanation and took no further action. D.P. McDonogh, rider of Liffey View trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not get a clear run in the straight. Denis W. Cullen, trainer of Baby Dinnis, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge showed signs of being in season post race
An extended handicap for three yrs old only rated 47-70 Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra; for each race won.
