The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Honor Oak, ridden by A.J. Slattery and Fujaira King (USA), ridden by L.F. Roche, where it appeared that Honor Oak moved across Fujaira King's racing line causing him to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that A.J. Slattery was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended A.J. Slattery for 1 raceday
The Stewards interviewed William J. Fitzpatrick, trainer of Dandys Gold, regarding the late arrival of the horse into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to remind William J. Fitzpatrick of his future responsibilities in this regard
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Evasive Power (USA), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race and had signs of kickback on his nostrils
The Stewards fined Adrian McGuinness, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Highly Approved, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Highly Approved in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
