Approaching the furlong marker Adventureman (GB), unplaced, edged left- handed making contact with Lothario (GB), placed third, and shortly afterwards Adventureman (GB), edged right-handed on to International Law (GB), placed fifth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The Stewards interviewed Shane Gray who had appeared not to ride Zorawar (FR), placed eighth, out in the home straight.
They noted that he had reported at scales that the gelding had been denied a clear run.
He stated that, as Zorawar (FR) needs cover in his races he had attempted to make a run towards the inside of the field, where he was repeatedly denied a clear run, and consequently was unable to pull round into space until the last fifty yards, at which point he felt the race was over.
The Stewards noted his explanation.
Following the race Sophie Ralston reported that the winner, Nezar (IRE), hung left-handed.
Cam Hardie reported that International Law (GB), placed fifth, was denied a clear run.
Fergus Sweeney reported that ARLECCHINO’S LEAP, placed fourth, was denied a clear run and Jane Elliott reported that Adventureman (GB), unplaced, suffered interference in running.
