A Sligo regular, she now drops in class having run well in two recent chases and - notably, possesses the top allowed hurdles' rating of 109 while her 7lb mares' allowance is allied to her rider's 5lb claim. Kilbeggan maiden hurdle winner Hardy Diamomd also has a mares' allowance and having run reasonably well over hurdles at Gowran last week, should compete on chase debut, as she has prior point-to-point experience. Mister Wilson is flattered by his 116 chase rating and was soundly beaten in a recent claiming hurdle. English runner Boomslang has recent form but debuts over fences.

I love this place. Both Downpatrick and Down Royal are so well supported, it is great to come racing to both tracks. He ran a lovely race in a better race the last day. Better ground probably suited him and he is one for the future. He is still learning, he is a big baby and took a long time to mature even though he had won his point-to-point. Hopefully there is more good days in him. We'll keep him on the go for a little while. He enjoyed the ground and relished the hill. He's getting to like it (trip) now alright, it took us a long time to find it!. You think he is plenty fast enough for a mile and two at home, but this trip and the track seems to have made the difference. Fair play to the owners for persevering because if he had headed off somewhere, I wouldn't have held it against them. He has turned the corner now and he seems to love it here. He'll go back hurdling as well on good ground. We have a few options with him. He's a summer horse I'd say. He's having plenty of breaks between runs. I'd say the flat track was a big help to him as he needs an easy two miles. I couldn't see him staying two-miles on heavy ground during the winter and they got racing early enough today which wasn't ideal, but he had been banging on the door and was due a win.
