He has been threatening to win one of them for a while, he has been running well in them all. The conditions race suited him and the jockey (Jack Kennedy) gave him a great ride,. He did (jump well), they are big fences around here. He (Kennedy) said if he was to ride him again he would probably hold onto him even a bit longer. He doesn't do a whole lot when you let go of his head. He had to pick back up so it's grand. He's got loads of experience so he might be okay. Gordon Elliott, trainer

A novice steeplechase for five yrs old and upwards which are EBF eligible and at entry, are rated 113 or less , also open to horses which, at entry, are rated 114-123 in steeplechases and to horses which, at entry are rated 123 or less in hurdle races
Weights - 5-y-o 10st 8lb; 6-y-o and up 11st
Penalties - Performances before 24th January-for every 1lb above the rating of 113 1lb extra; On or after 24th January -for each race won 6lb extra; Note 1 Horses which, at entry, have not run in two or more steeplechases and/or do not have a published steeplechase rating may enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper provided their steeplechase rating is 123 or less. Note 2. Horses which, at entry, have not run in three or more hurdle races and/or do not have a published hurdle rating may enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper provided their hurdle rating is 123 or less. However hurdle ratings and performances will only be considered after steeplechase ratings and performances.
