Monatomic wins 1st chase at 6th attempt
He has been threatening to win one of them for a while, he has been running well in them all. The conditions race suited him and the jockey (Jack Kennedy) gave him a great ride,. He did (jump well), they are big fences around here. He (Kennedy) said if he was to ride him again he would probably hold onto him even a bit longer. He doesn't do a whole lot when you let go of his head. He had to pick back up so it's grand. He's got loads of experience so he might be okay.

Nolan's Cresus gives Cooper some compo for Naas fall
We're just glad to get an oul win into him. Bryan (Cooper) said he could be one of those ones there for bottom-weight in those distance races in Fairyhouse and Punchestown,. He jumps away well and he'll find his level. Hopefully he stays in one piece. He's a big, old galloper. His first run was very good against Peacocks Secret in Wexford where he made a couple of mistakes and he (Peacocks Secret) has gone on and been very consistent since. He jumped well and Bryan gave him a lovely, positive ride. he was going to make it but he was too slow to make it and he battled to take it up with a circuit to go. That's him flat to the boards and thankfully he jumped well. It'll be absolutely no problem (stepping up in trip) and yes the Ulster National absolutely (could be something for him). He stays going, that's all he does.
Slevin rides another winner - for local connections at Down Royal
I thought he would have won before now. Ideally going over fences is what he was bought to do. We said this year we would try and get a wee bit more experience into him - a handful of runs and leave it at that. He's obviously better than a couple of runs he has shown. Decent ground is the key to him as well. JJ (Slevin) just said he thought that ground was probably as dead as he would want it. He's given him a good ride today, he has ridden him a couple of times. He's a big horse too so a wee bit of time is helping him as well. He's not entered in Cheltenham in any of the hurdles but he could be a horse for Ayr or Aintree or Punchestown. I'd imagine we would aim for something there and go over fences next year. He's a big, scopey horse. I was there the day we bought him and he was a handyish horse and that was one of the things we liked about him and he has done nothing but grow. He's still a lot of filling out to do. He's starting to get it together. The first two pulled well clear and there is a bit of form there with a couple of them. If you are going to have one coming to the last with you it was always going to be Gordon's (Elliott, Black Tears).

McManus/Elliott double up with exciting Andy Dufresne
We think he's a nice horse, we always thought a lot of him,. We were waiting on a bit of rain for him. We think he's as nice as any bumper horse we've run all year. I'll have to speak to the owners to see about whether he goes to Cheltenham or where he goes.
