she is now up to 1m6f having started racing at seven furlongs and brought her here because we have an entry for the November Handicap. I wanted to get her up in the ratings to get in. She travels well and once she settles, she has the speed at the end and Dan gave her a tremendous ride. I’m delighted and hopefully we’ll get into the November Handicap now.

It's was her first time over this trip but she's very genuine and I knew she'd stay. I might even step her up again,. She was picking up the pieces there at the end. This is her home really. She had two runs on the turf to sharpen her up for here. We'll keep coming back here. She got a 7lb rise for finishing seventh here on her last run which I thought was a bit much at the time but we're after winning again now. I'm delighted with that and we'll come back here in a fortnight. We'll see what the handicapper gives her this time. Dan gave her a fantastic ride. He settled her out the back and we ride her the same way all the time, come with a run around the outside. All I told him was to come with a clear run and what ever happens happens.

the handicapper gave her 12lb for the first day but he's probably been proven right, although hopefully he's not too hard on her now. She was trying ten furlongs for the first time - we kinda knew she'd stay but you don't know until you try it. She'll probably come here on December 17 and then we'll give her a break after that. Ben gave her a great ride, he was in last place the whole way around and then came with the run. He rode her perfectly. Niamh, who rides her out, is doing a great job of settling her at home and Alan Fleming is over with me now as well. We are all training there together and it's working out grand.

I’m training in Hollywood, Co Wicklow and have six horses in at the moment. That’s my first winner and I’m hoarse after cheering her home. She’s been running consistent and I was hopeful she would run well. I’m delighted — over the moon. I got the license last November and this filly was my first runner and is now my first winner. I was breaking and pre-training and before that doing point-to-pointers as well. I was breeding as well but had too many to hand out to other trainers. My brother Pat rode for Francis Flood and we are racing most of our lives.
