FormscanBy Gary Carson - UHTRED was set a couple of stiff tasks over timber last season after his return from an absence and should be tough to beat back in maiden company now. The Gigginstown gelding was a dual bumper winner and looked a very smart prospect when taking a Listed contest at Navan in December 2019. Sandwiched in between his bumper wins was a good run to finish second to smart stable-mate Front View over hurdles in Cork. On his return last February he ran a fine race to finish third in listed company over hurdles before being pitched in the Grade 1 at Punchestown. This is a much easier task now on his seasonal debut. Point-to-point winner Prevaricate could do better now that he tackles jumps, after showing promise in a couple of bumpers last season, and could be the danger for the in-form Gordon Elliott yard.
