I didn't expect him to do that as I thought the ground was a bit dead but the older he is getting, he is appreciating the bit of juice in the ground. He missed the break in Galway and things didn't go to plan but with an old horse like that, he minds himself and knows himself when it's not going right. It is unbelievable how many jockeys have won on him on their first ride. Shane Foley and Colin Keane both won on him first time. Declan said he was going away at the end, appreciated the ground and said to get him out again. I have nothing planned but we'll make it up as we go along and we have Dundalk all winter too.

What a servant. He has now won every year for us since we bought him. He has been leading the two year olds at home all winter and it is has really sweetened him up. He has been hammering them all, except for one, and has got the appetite back. Donagh reckons he mightn't be finished yet. It was getting harder at the higher level, he probably lost his confidence but as he has come back down the ratings, his confidence has come back and it was his first ever time running in a 0-65. We were hoping that would be enough to get him across the line.

The horses have been so out of form since October nearly. Bad hay and we couldn't get them right. I've just been concentrating on getting them healthy again. Nikita came in last week just to sit up on him and he worked really well. She got on with him at home. What a servant, he's unreal!. Hopefully we will pick up a few more as he has dropped down to a really workable mark. He won off 98 last August. He'll keep going until he tells me he needs a break! . She kept him balanced and she didn't panic. When she couldn't make it early, she didn't panic. I was worried myself because it looked like he wasn't going early. Maybe he is just getting clever and he is saving himself at the start for the finish but he kicked clear at the end. We'll crack on now and get the whole yard back in form.

I'm delighted, that's his eighth win up here. I think the winter in Dubai did him the world of good. We'll probably go for the big seven-furlong handicap on Champions Weekend again. Hopefully the handicapper isn't too hard on him as it was a tight finish. When they headed him I thought we were in trouble because it is riding slower. This place, with the sun on it always rides a bit slower and then we have the new surface settling in so I thought it wouldn't be ideal. He knows where the line is and knows this place better than any of us. He's the best I've had. It was Cash Or Casualty at the start who was the first winner and won nine for us but this lad's just taken it to another level. He's taken us to Dubai and is competing here off 98. He's unreal. He's eight years young and still has the enthusiasm, long may it last.

He’s getting better with age. We nominated him for Dubai and he was off 90 today so we’ll see what happens. He’s never actually looked this well during the winter season up here. His coat is immaculate and his confidence is up. Vanessa gets some tune out of him and we always said he loved the women!. Before his hundredth start he’d never won two in a row and he’s won three in a row now. This horse has done so much for us and is part of the family at this stage. Vanessa is with Jack Davison but she rides work for us. She is a great kid and we will be using plenty more of her up here over the winter. We could come here once more before Christmas but if Dubai is on the cards we could go straight there. It’s up in the air at the moment.

What a horse, that's another 25 grand race!. When he's rated below 80 he's lethal and with Vanessa's 10lb claim that brought him below 80 again. What a servant, that's his 12th win. What more can I say and he's going to keep going here all winter. Vanessa said he absolutely tanked to the start and in better form than he was the last night. We've always tried to qualify him for Lingfield but it's just never happened. Maybe this year we'll have a go at it again and we'll see what happens. The horse is in great form and we'll keep tipping away. You could see there tonight with Colin (on Gordon Lord Byron) taking him on and Vanessa using her head. She's a very very good rider and she's one of the best apprentices I've seen. She keeps horses balanced, she doesn't complicate it and she has a good head on her shoulders.

What a horse! It was brought to my attention around Laytown time that he was getting close to his 100th start,. Laytown didn't go to plan so we said we'd try and get him ready to win on his 100th start. Vanessa is local to us and has started to come in and ride work. It's worked out well. We thought her 10lb would come in handy and he's won twice before for girls so we thought we'd give it a go. That's the third jockey he's given a first winner to as well. He's some servant — he's just deadly. We'll keep him going for the winter here now and try and pick up more money. He's only seven so there is still plenty to come and we'll crack away here.

I don’t know how to explain how I felt last Friday. Thankfully Stephen (Mooney) was back riding out during the week and he might get his just desserts on Sunday. We have this lad in at Naas over a mile with a 6lb penalty and Stephen will claim 7lb. The horse is in great order and Colin has given him a peach. His last two rides for me have been winners and you can see why he was champion jockey. The ground is actually on the slow side of good tonight and he’s better on quicker ground. Hopefully it will be Naas on Sunday and then on to Limerick for the race he won last year. In fairness to Rory Cleary he came in after riding him one night in Dundalk over the winter and said he needed something done on his wind. We got a little job done and he’s definitely feeling the better of it.

They gave him an easy lead and when he gets it he’s deadly dangerous. He loves this place and it’s a nice pot to win. We’ll probably keep him for here now, and I’d love to qualify him for the All-Weather Championship in Lingfield. We might even travel to England if we can’t qualify here. He’s some money spinner and is all heart.

I was wondering if I did the right thing as he won over a mile here last year but he’s so well handicapped at the moment and Stephen gave him a great ride. He ran a blinder in Leopardstown the last day and just got a little bit tired. Stephen is with me since last summer. He’s a great little worker, and his riding has improved out of sight in the last few months. He might make plenty of use of his claim now this summer.

He's some horse and we call him 'the 800 wonder' at home!. He is some money-spinner and is all guts and heart. I told Donagh to ride him like he gets the mile easy and go hard and he filled him up at the top of the hill. Donagh reckoned he didn't handle the downhill very well though. He's a great kid and has been very lucky for me and has ridden some winners for me. He thrives on his racing but we'll have to put him away now for one of the big pots. We're going to have to go Premier Handicapping now. He's entered in the Scurry Handicap, over five furlongs, but we could also go to Galway for both the seven furlongs and mile Premier Handicaps.

He's some little money spinner and is genuine as the day is long. Donagh said he knows everything himself. He knows when to fill himself up and when to kick. You just have to sit on him and steer him. It was a tough decision during the week whether to use Ana (O'Brien) or Donagh. Donagh had a double last week so I said 'he's riding with confidence'. That's broke the duck on him as a man has won on him at last. I might run him in the six-furlong fast track qualifier here in two weeks. We'll see how he is. If he was to win that you'd have to go to Lingfield. If he didn't we might think about the Irish Lincoln.

I’ve had him over a year and he’s threatened to win good races, and for some reason he goes well for the women. He cost only 800 guineas and now he’s won two 14,000 (euro) handicaps. He’s a great advertisement for the Tattersalls Horses In Training Sales. Ana said he travels so well and gets the mile well. A lot of lads were telling me he doesn’t get a mile but he does get a mile. There is two Fast Track Qualifiers over six (furlongs) and a mile in March, and he’ll run in one or both of them. I’m gutted for Red Avenger but he blew it at the start. I don’t know what had him so upset. He was very fresh and well in himself, and maybe I had him too fresh. Hopefully the horse is alright, and he’ll come back here for the Fast Track Qualifier as well. He’s still a really good horse and you just have to put a line through that.
