Togoville made all in Dundalk's six-furlong handicap to give trainer Anthony McCann and jockey Conor McGovern a double on the card.
The seven-year-old grey gelding blazed the trail but came under the whip with a furlong and a half to go.
He edged right thereafter but was driven out in the final furlong to score by half a length at 7/1. Geological kept him honest in second at 20/1 with Alfredo Arcano the same distance away in third at 7/2.
Anthony McCann said: "He's a good horse but he takes very little training and he was fairly right before he came to me. Things didn't work out the last day and I didn't think Conor was going to get to ride him. He rides him out every day at home but it was only when the weights went up after Gordon Lord Byron came out that he could ride him.
"A big thanks to Patrick McCann for having faith in me to send me the horse. He's very versatile trip wise but you just have to make a bit more use of him over five.
"Every time a horse comes to his girth he finds. He's a tough, tough horse and it's a pity we don't have another six or seven of him in the yard."
This was Togoville's eighth victory on the polytrack at Dundalk and tenth success overall.
This was his fourth start for McCann.
The trainer and McGovern also teamed up with Chicago School in the opener. It was McCann's first double in Ireland having had one in Wolverhampton earlier this year.
